The Future of Leadership: Lara Trump Hopes to be RNC Co-Chair

Lara Trump expressed hope on Sunday about becoming the next co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), emphasizing the significance of the November election in reversing what she called the country’s “bad leadership.”

When asked on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” about her hopes for RNC leadership, Lara Trump stated, “Well, the committee has to eventually vote me in. I would be honored to take on this responsibility, since there is no time to spend.

“We have 10 months to go really before what I think we can all feel right now in this country … is the most important election any of us have ever seen,” she said.

Last week, speculation arose about Lara Trump competing for a place in the RNC after Trump endorsed her for the committee’s co-chair position. In his endorsement, he called her “an extremely talented communicator who is dedicated to all that MAGA stands for.”

Trump also backed North Carolina Republican Party Chair Michael Whatley for RNC chair.

Lara Trump is married to the former president’s son, Eric Trump, and has been associated with the Republican National Committee and party contributors since her father-in-law’s presidency. If she and Whatley are elected by RNC members, the former president would effectively control the committee.

On Sunday, Lara Trump emphasized the significance of putting her father-in-law back in the White House, claiming that “we are poised to lose the country.”

“The world is destabilized right now because you have bad leadership at the top,” she went on to say. “You can’t win a presidential campaign without the help of the Republican National Committee. And so, if I am chosen as co-chair, I can assure you that we have a lot of work to do.

She promised to make election integrity a primary emphasis of her work if elected to the RNC, ensuring “that nothing is left to chance.”

The RNC has to raise “a lot of money” and reassure individuals that they can “feel good” about giving to the committee, she said. She also restated her statement from last week, in which she promised to spend “every single penny” of the RNC monies.

“And we really have to hit this thing head-on,” she told me. “We’ve got a lot of work to do. There’s still a little time till November 5. And, look, we’re going to get started as soon as I’m chosen co-chair of the Republican National Committee.”

Lara Trump discounted any influence the four criminal indictments would have on the former president’s chances of winning in November. Trump faces 91 criminal accusations across four state and federal indictments. He is also facing almost a half-dozen legal cases.

“He is the most energetic person I’ve ever seen.” He is great. “Nothing will stop him,” she stated. “And look, these are intended to make him reconsider what he’s doing. Obviously, all of these indictments, ‘Donald Trump’s going to say, ‘I can’t do it’. Absolutely not. “He’s going forward because I believe he is truly the only person who can bring this country back, put us on the right track, and stabilize the world.”
