Born Paul Montgomery Shore on February 1, 1968. In 1972, born in Los Angeles, California, his parents, Mitzi Shore and comedian Sammy, launched The Comedy Store. Mitzi became the sole proprietor after her marriage to Sammy ended in 1974. (Pauly took over as club manager following Mitzi’s passing in 2018.) Shore was raised in a Jewish family and attended Beverly Hills High School before graduating in 1986. He had three siblings: Peter, Scott, and Sandi.
He grew up surrounded by comedians, and at the age of seventeen, he made his f stand-up performance debut at the Alley Cat Bistro in Culver City.
