He is 34 years old as of 2024. He was born to a black Maryland native, Robert Bryson Hall, and a white mother. Logic’s nationality is American, but he is of mixed race, consisting of African American and European ancestry. He has seven half-siblings between his father and mother. Logic grew up in the West Deer Park neighborhood of Gaithersburg, Maryland.
His father had a cocaine addiction, while his mother had an alcohol problem. Despite his father’s absence from his youth, Logic was able to reconcile with Hall through his developing rap career. When Logic was a young adolescent, he saw his brothers manufacture crack cocaine and sell it to “addicts all over the block,” including his father. Following these encounters, Logic says that he accurately knows how to manufacture and generate crack cocaine.
He went to Gaithersburg High School, which was nearby. He did not, however, graduate and was expelled shortly after beginning to skip classes. Logic stated that he was kicked out for poor performance in every class after English in the tenth grade.

Logic’s career
Logic started his music career by releasing his first mixtape, Young, Broke & Infamous, in 2010. He became well-known for his Young Sinatra mixtape series, and the positive reception to its third edition, Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever (2013), aided in Logic’s acquisition of a recording contract with Def Jam Recordings. Logic’s debut studio albums, Under Pressure (2014) and The Incredible True Story (2015), finished in the top five on the US Billboard 200, with the former going platinum.
With the release of Everybody in 2017, Logic broke through to a broader audience. The album peaked at number one in the US and was certified platinum; its lead song, “1-800-273-8255,” was a top-ten smash abroad and placed third on the US Billboard Hot 100. He also issued Bobby Tarantino’s commercial mixtape series. The single “Homicide” from his fourth album, YSIV (2018), and his sixth album, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2019), both saw substantial financial success.
