Juventus striker Kean is set to join Atlético Madrid on loan.
According to ESPN, Atletico Madrid is close to taking forward Moise Kean on loan from Juventus for the remainder of the campaign.
Following the conclusion of negotiations between the two teams, Kean, 23, has been given the go-ahead to join the La Liga team.
He is coming to Madrid regardless of Ángel Correa’s departure. According to ESPN sources, Atlético is in talks with Al Ittihad regarding Correa’s transfer and is waiting for the Saudi Pro League winners to up their original offer of €10 million ($10.9 million).
With Memphis Depay, a former Barcelona forward, having injury issues this season, Kean’s signing will help Atlético’s attacking options become more varied. Additionally, Diego Simeone, the coach, will be able to rest Álvaro Morata and Antoine Griezmann, the regular starters.
This season, Kean has not scored in 12 league games for the Turin team. He was not involved in Juventus’ 3-0 league victory over Lecce on Sunday.
Additionally, Atletico is working to finalize the signing of Rapid Bucharest custodian Horatiu Moldovan. Ivo Grbic, who has asked to leave Atlético and is rumored to be joining Sheffield United on a permanent transfer, will be replaced by the Romanian international.
In this transfer window, Atletico Madrid could also lose defenders Javi Galán and Caglar Söyüncü, which would free up space for the team to sign a defensive midfield player.
Diego Simeone, the coach of Atletico Madrid, has already asked to bolster that position in the summer, and the team is considering workable options before the transfer window closes on January 31.
